About Me

Hi, I'm Jasmine (she/her).

I am a registered Counsellor (Australian Counselling Association), experienced career coach, and have a BBSc (Psych/Neuroscience) and Master of Counselling.

I really enjoy working with women and supporting them in their self-discovery and growth. I do this through helping my clients create change that is meaningful to them and gain momentum towards their personal and professional goals.

My love for helping people grow started when I was doing the corporate hustle in People & Culture and executive leadership roles for companies such as Swisse Wellness, T2 Tea, and Mecca Brands. I eventually shifted gears to working one-on-one with clients in therapeutic counselling and career coaching.

In my 1:1 personal counselling practice I support my clients to deal with the inescapable challenges of life - the unknowns, the curve-balls, all the hard things. This can look like tackling anxiety and overwhelm, working with self doubt and impostor syndrome, navigating tricky relationship and work stuff, transitioning through different life ages and stages, and understanding more about who we really are and what’s important to us.

I also specialise in career and leadership coaching—I get a kick out of helping my clients be better leaders, build purposeful and meaningful careers, and understand their unique strengths and how to apply them at work. The support I provide in this space includes

  • Exploration of your values, purpose and strengths

  • Cultivating a growth mindset

  • Increasing self-awareness and self-regulating more effectively

  • Developing impactful leadership

  • Building an authentic professional and personal brand

  • Fostering presence through mindfulness practices

  • CV and cover letter creation

  • LinkedIn optimisation

  • Skill identification and career pathway builds

Methodology and approach

lightdespite is a practice that welcomes all gender identities, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and abilities. Positively contributing to a fair and inclusive society is very important to me, and I am particularly interested in supporting women’s mental and emotional health.

When it comes to the counselling relationship, I bring warmth, curiosity, and compassion to the table. It's about creating those real connections that let people be themselves and feel accepted.

I’m here to help folks become more self-aware, notice those unhelpful patterns in their lives, and work towards their personal and professional goals. My counselling approach is a mixtape of therapies, using frameworks like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and mindfulness.

At lightdespite, I tailor a bespoke approach that works for you and what you are wanting to get out of our counselling collaboration.
